Tortoise Acquisition Corp. Closes Initial Public Offering
Vinson & Elkins advised Tortoise Acquisition Corp. in connection with its initial public offering of 23,300,917 units at a price of $10.00 per unit. This includes a partial exercise by the underwriters of their option to purchase up to an additional 3,375,000 units.
The offering closed today, March 4, 2019.
Tortoise Acquisition Corp. was formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, stock purchase, reorganization or similar business combination. The Company intends to focus its search for a target business in the energy industry.
