MD America Energy Completes Financial Restructuring, Successfully Emerges from Chapter 11

Vinson & Elkins is advising the secured term loan lenders in connection with MD America Energy, LLC’s (the “Company”) prepackaged chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and financial restructuring process. On December 14, 2020, the Company’s Plan of Reorganization was confirmed by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas Houston Division. Under the Plan, the Company’s pre-petition secured lenders have converted a significant portion of their debt into new equity in the Company, allowing MD America to emerge from the Chapter 11 process with a robust balance sheet and with a solid foundation for future growth and success.
