Louise Woods Named on HERoes 100 Women Future Leaders List

The HERoes Women Role Model Lists embraces multiple industries and showcase those who champion women in business and drive change for gender diversity in the workplace.

Each individual was judged on the influence of their role, their impact on gender inclusion and equality inside and outside the workplace and their business achievements.

In her roles as the London office chair for the Vinson & Elkins Women’s Initiative, Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the New Parent Mentoring Programme, Louise has been instrumental in creating an inclusive culture. Outside of the firm Louise serves as vice president on the Board of ArbitralWomen, a non-profit for the promotion of women and diversity in international dispute resolution and founded its New Parent Mentorship Programme.

Commenting on the accolade, Louise said: “I am delighted to be recognised as a leader in driving workplace gender diversity. To be a mother and a partner of a US law firm is something I am proud of, and through my experience and position, I want to help other women achieve their goals.

“The legal sector is making progress in terms of equality but there is still some way to go. I firmly believe that diversity results in better business, and initiatives like HERoes are great tools that can demonstrate best practice, share ideas and instigate change.”
