Lindsey Vaala Appointed Co-Chair of ABA Antitrust Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee
Vinson & Elkins counsel Lindsey Vaala has been appointed Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee for the 2018-2019 term.
Part of the ABA’s Section of Antitrust Law, the Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee aims to provide practical resources for practitioners involved in criminal antitrust work and information about cutting-edge cases. In addition to programming and several publications, the Committee works with regulatory agencies around the world to provide comments on proposed legislation related to antitrust enforcement worldwide.
“Very few attorneys become co-chair of a committee so early in their careers, and to lead the ABA’s flagship Cartel and Criminal Practice Committee is a particular honor,” said Hill Wellford, Head of V&E’s Government Antitrust Investigations Practice. “It is a testament to Lindsey’s experience and judgment that she was chosen, and we are proud to have her represent V&E as part of the ABA’s leadership.”
Vaala’s principal areas of practice include antitrust investigations, litigation and counseling as well as representing companies and individuals in a variety of other government investigations and litigation proceedings.
