Law360 Names V&E a 2018 Texas Powerhouse
Vinson & Elkins has once again been named a Texas Powerhouse by Law360, in recognition of the firm’s successes over the past year.
V&E is among just five firms throughout the state honored by Law360 “whose work stood out in an intensely competitive market for litigation wins and blockbuster deals.”
In an article profiling the firm, Law360 highlights several key transactional matters the firm handled, including V&E’s representation of RSP Permian Inc. in an all-stock sale worth $9.5 billion to fellow Permian Basin driller Concho Resources Inc. and Devon Energy Corp. in an agreement to sell its ownership interests in EnLink Midstream Partners LP to an affiliate of Global Infrastructure Partners for $3.12 billion.
On the litigation side, Law360 spotlights V&E’s representation of: the Panama Canal Authority in a portfolio of construction disputes arising out of the canal expansion project; residential real estate developer CC Telge Road in a trial that resulted in what is believed to be the largest jury verdict ever for a property owner in a condemnation case against the state of Texas; and Lydia Ann Channel Moorings, LLC against an injunction issued under the Endangered Species Act that had shut down the company’s barge fleeting facility.
This is the third time Law360 has selected Regional Powerhouses; V&E was also named to the list in 2015 and 2017.
