Law360 Names Craig Zieminski a 2021 Rising Star
Law360 has named Vinson & Elkins litigation partner Craig Zieminski to its 2021 Rising Stars list, honoring outstanding attorneys under the age of 40. Craig is one of five lawyers nationwide named a Rising Star in the “Trials” category.
In a June profile, Law360 lauds Zieminski for his role in winning a $1.6 billion shareholder challenge following a six-day trial in connection with the $18 billion merger between Regency Energy Partners, LP and Energy Transfer Partners, LP. This was Craig’s fourth Delaware Court of Chancery trial success in five years.
Zieminski represents companies and their directors in lawsuits brought by Delaware stockholders, Master Limited Partnership unitholders and deal partners, focusing almost exclusively on lawsuits alleging breaches of fiduciary duties, partnership agreement duties, merger agreements and federal securities laws.
When asked by Law360 what motivates him, Zieminski said the ability to deliver wins to the firm’s clients.
“Getting the outcomes that our clients deserve is just a feeling that is hard to put into words,” he said. “When you fight for years and years to vindicate a client who’s been accused of some very serious wrongdoing, it’s just — it’s indescribable. And that drives me.”
Law360’s 2021 Rising Stars were selected from more than 1,400 nationwide submissions. Winners were identified on the basis of their career accomplishments in their respective disciplines.
