Funding Secured to Complete Development Activities on $3.5B GTL Americas Project
Vinson & Elkins is acting as project counsel to GTLA Holdings, LP on the development of the GTL Americas (GTLA) project, a landmark gas-to-liquids (GTL) project that will produce 33,000 barrels per day of ultra-clean transportation fuels from natural gas. The project, located near Pine Bluff, Arkansas, has an anticipated capital cost of approximately $3.5 billion.
The project developer recently announced that it secured funding commitments from an international consortia of investors to complete certain development activities (including front end engineering and design), and this initial funding for the project has now been obtained. A copy of the press release is available here.
Counsel Andy Smetana led the V&E team on the early stage capital raise. Partner Kaam Sahely leads the team that is acting as project counsel in all aspects of the development and financing of the project.
