Federico Fruhbeck Named a Private Equity Rising Star by Legal Week/ International

Legal Week/ International has named Vinson & Elkins partner Federico Fruhbeck a Private Equity Rising Star in the U.K. and European legal industry. The list recognizes up-and-coming lawyers for their “prowess in winning new clients, deepening existing relationships and broadening the scope of their firm’s private equity expertise against a background of uncertainty.”

To compile the list, Legal Week surveyed influential private equity firms and experienced partners to identify the most highly rated lawyers under the age of 40. Clients and peers cite Fruhbeck’s “attention to detail as central to his appeal, as well as his ‘extremely likeable’ personality,” qualities Fruhbeck credits in part to his prior career as a professional pianist and conductor.

Further, Fruhbeck is recognized for his role as a key advisor to leading global investment firms in transactions across a range of European countries, including Spain, Italy, Germany and Greece. Specifically, Legal Week cites his lead role advising KKR in the acquisition of European Locomotive Leasing, a leading pan-European provider of electric locomotive leasing solutions.

Fruhbeck is among only 25 attorneys in the region highlighted for the quality of their client bases; the scale, significance and complexity of their deals; and client feedback and general market reputation, among other factors.
