Bloomberg Law Names Vinson & Elkins to Its First Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Framework
Bloomberg Law announced that it recognized Vinson & Elkins among only 28 U.S.-based law firms in its inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Framework, a listing of law firms that meet or exceed an established threshold of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Law firms are named in the DEI Framework based on their level of disclosure of diversity-related metrics and distinguished performance against six core pillars: demographics, leadership and talent pipeline, recruitment and retention, business innovation and strategy, marketing, and diversity and inclusion in the community.
The new DEI Framework report strives to standardize disclosure of diversity-related data that will help firms like V&E attract and retain top talent, and allow companies to easily compare law firms from a supplier diversity standpoint. View the report here that includes an overview of findings.
“With the introduction of the Bloomberg Law DEI Framework, businesses for the first time have complimentary access to a list of law firms that have met a clearly established threshold and are moving diversity, equity, and inclusion forward,” said Joe Breda, president of Bloomberg Law. “Clients are looking to law firms that reflect their values and have demonstrated a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and the firms that we’ve recognized as part of the inaugural Bloomberg Law DEI Framework clearly fit the bill.”
