The United States has tremendous offshore wind energy resource potential with the ability to provide thousands of highly-skilled jobs and large amounts of renewable energy in close proximity to many of the country’s largest population centers.

This presentation focused on four key considerations for the development of U.S. offshore wind projects, each of which could impact the cost and scheduling of a project:
- Contracting structures to mitigate risks
- Availability of installation vessels and the application of the Jones Act
- Recent extension of available tax credits
- Environmental review and permitting process.
