Partners Emily Stephens and Lauren Collins to Present at Los Angeles/Orange County Chapter WCD Meeting
At an upcoming Los Angeles/Orange County Chapter Women Corporate Directors (WCD) Meeting, Emily Stephens and Lauren Collins will discuss what directors should focus on in light of increased scrutiny from investors, governmental authorities, lenders, and other counterparties on how companies are addressing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) concerns.
ESG has become a hot topic in recent years, but many companies are still working to understand their ESG risk and formulate appropriate responses. Corporate ESG strategies can vary widely depending on factors such as the size of the company, its industry, it geographic footprint and its regulatory profile. V&E Partners Emily Stephens and Lauren Collins have worked with companies across the spectrum – from small private companies that just want to understand the “must-haves” to large public companies with significant environmental footprints – to craft appropriate ESG action plans, and they will share their views on what directors should look for when assessing the ESG risk profile of their companies, what policies and practices they should consider based on their assessments, and what tax advantaged investment opportunities may be available.
