CorpGov 2020 Governance Webinar "Activism and ESG"

On Tuesday, June 30th, 2020, Lawrence Elbaum and Sarah Fortt spoke on panels as part of the second webinar in CorpGov’s 2020 Governance Series titled “Activism and ESG.”

Lawrence participated in an activism panel that discussed the current and upcoming proxy seasons, the effect of the pandemic in the activism space as it relates to defensive mechanisms such as poison pills, and market considerations for the second half of the year.
Sarah contributed to a panel that discussed the progression and implementation of board diversity considerations over the past several years, the intersection of Black Lives Matter and ESG, investor perspectives on ESG and diversity, and the importance of enacting ESG measures as a corporate strategy.
