Cleantech Incubator Greentown Labs Expands to Houston with Help from V&E
Greentown Labs, North America’s largest “climatetech” incubator, will open its second location in Houston in spring 2021 to accelerate the global Energy Evolution. V&E will serve as the go-to legal counsel and resource for Greentown Houston. The firm will provide pro bono legal services to Greentown Houston on a variety of corporate matters as well as matters associated with intellectual property, commercial contracts, tax, employment, and real estate. In addition, V&E will offer pro bono legal counsel to each Greentown Houston member company.

On June 16, 2020, Greentown CEO Emily Reichert, along with Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and the Greater Houston Partnership, announced the expansion plans, which will be Houston’s first climatech and cleantech-focused startup incubator and a catalyst in driving progress toward the goals outlined in Houston’s recently announced first-ever Climate Action Plan.
V&E partner James Garrett will serve on the inaugural Advisory Board of Greentown Houston on behalf of the firm.
