V&E partners Lawrence Elbaum and Sarah Morgan participated in a CorpGov webinar “Best Corporate Governance Practices During the Coronavirus Crisis and Beyond” sponsored by the firm, discussing a range of topics related to corporate governance and shareholder activism as it relates to COVID-19 and moving forward.
The 90 minute webinar featured two different panels to accommodate the numerous knowledgeable panelists. The first covered activist shareholder behavior during the crisis, poison pills/shareholder rights plans, and capital allocation, and the second panel featured information about coronavirus response in the broader ESG context, executive compensation, employees as stakeholder, and disclosure and board communication.
Additional panelists included Lyndon Park of ICR, Byron Loflin of Nasdaq, Chris Young, of Jefferies, Nick Mazing of Sentieo, and John Jannarone of CorpGov.
