Randy practices in the areas of business and finance, concentrating on real estate transactions throughout the country. He has extensive experience representing investment funds, and individual and institutional investors, in forming joint ventures and acquiring, financing, developing, restructuring, selling, and leasing shopping centers, office buildings, hotels, industrial parks, and apartment complexes.

Experience Highlights

  • A private investment fund in connection with the $2.2 billion sale of its real estate portfolio, including 112 industrial buildings, 19 retail centers, eight multifamily properties, six hotels, and two office buildings across the U.S.
  • A private equity fund in acquiring at discounts individual distressed loans and pools of distressed loans
  • An NYSE parent entity in connection with its real estate subsidiary selling a portfolio of office buildings, residential developments, golf courses, and water rights
  • A REIT in its acquisition of a multistate industrial portfolio valued at $300 million
  • A private equity fund forming a national development and investment program with a national developer

  • A private equity fund in separate acquisitions, financings, and subsequent dispositions of retail shopping centers located in Texas, California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, Colorado, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin, and encompassing over 7 million aggregate rentable square feet
  • A private equity fund forming joint ventures with institutional investors to own and develop shopping centers
  • Private investor in securitized and mezzanine financings, equity infusions, and management restructurings for a large convention hotel
  • A private investor in selling a hotel and casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • A REIT in forming an incentive equity development relationship with a national real estate company
  • A REIT in forming a joint venture with an institutional investor to acquire and develop industrial properties throughout the U.S.
