Heather Reynolds Johnson

Heather’s practice focuses on qualified retirement and welfare plans. She has experience in designing and implementing such plans, and in handling tax filings for them, including the submission of determination letters, voluntary compliance, and voluntary fiduciary correction applications.

Heather advises clients with regard to fiduciary issues and compliance under COBRA, HIPAA, and the ACA. She also designs and implements deferred compensation arrangements and nonqualified retirement plans, and advises clients regarding corporate governance issues that impact their employee benefit plans.

  • Spredfast, a leading provider of social media management software and solutions, in the merger with Lithium Technologies via its private equity sponsor, Vista Equity Partners 

  • A publicly traded multinational manufacturer and marketer of chemical products with defined contribution and defined benefit plan issues arising in a spin-off

  • A publicly traded multinational petroleum and natural gas exploration and production company in all aspects of administration of its defined contribution and defined benefit plans, including fiduciary training 

  • A publicly traded professional investment management and financial planning service company in freezing a defined benefit plan 

  • A publicly traded E&P company in day-to-day counseling related to its 401(k) plan 

  • A publicly traded E&P company with voluntary filings under both the IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System and the DOL Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program
