V&E Chairman Mark Kelly Named to 2017 NACD Directorship 100
Elkins Chairman Mark Kelly has been named to the NACD Directorship 100:
Governance Professionals and Institutions list by the National Association of
Corporate Directors for the third consecutive year.
NACD Directorship magazine each year identifies the most influential people in the boardroom community, including directors, corporate governance professionals, regulators and advisors. The 2017 Directorship 100 is comprised of 50 public company directors and 50 governance professionals and institutions who serve as role models in promoting exemplary board leadership, oversight and courage.
Nominees are solicited from NACD's constituents, including the NACD board of directors, previous honorees, NACD chapter leaders, advisors and the general membership. They are then evaluated in four key categories: integrity, mature confidence, informed judgment and high performance standards.
“NACD is honored to recognize outstanding directors and governance professionals whose leadership is exemplary. Our corporations—indeed our very system of capitalism—is improved by the integrity and commitment to excellence represented by these individuals,” said NACD President and CEO Peter Gleason.
In addition to maintaining an active practice concentrated on mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies, capital markets and corporate governance, Kelly is active Chair of the Executive Committee of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, a member of the Board of Visitors of MD Anderson Cancer Center, a director of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and serves on the Board of the Greater Houston Partnership. He is also a past director of the State Bar of Texas, past president of the Houston Bar Association and past chair of the Houston Bar Foundation.
