Jason Levine Appointed to The Federalist Society's Litigation Practice Group Executive Committee

Published: 04-26-2017

Vinson & Elkins partner Jason Levine has been appointed to the Executive Committee, Litigation Practice Group, of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.

Established in 1982, the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies is a membership organization with over 70,000 members that is dedicated to promoting constitutional principles of limited government, individual liberty, and judicial restraint. It provides opportunities for debate, scholarly discussion and participation in the public policy process, encouraging members to involve themselves in local, statewide and national affairs.

Practice Group Executive Committees organize and participate in events, in-person programs and panels for the Federalist Society’s flagship event, the National Lawyers Convention. Practice Groups also produce scholarly articles and help members and the general public increase their knowledge in specific areas of the law.

A versatile trial and courtroom lawyer for nearly 22 years, Levine has spent his career litigating high-stakes and often multidistrict business disputes, with a focus on matters involving contracts, antitrust class action defense and suits against the federal government. He has tried over 10 complex cases to juries and judges across the country, briefed and argued precedent-setting appeals and successfully led the defense against nationwide class actions. He is also a frequent legal commentator.
