Global Competition Review Recognizes V&E Among Texas Antitrust Bar Elite
Global Competition Review (GCR) has recognized Vinson & Elkins among the Texas antitrust bar elite in its review of top competition practices. V&E’s antitrust practice is among just four throughout the state to receive the publication’s highest ranking.
In a profile on the firm, GCR recognizes partners Jason Powers and Harry Reasoner.
Also highlighted is the firm’s work for Southwest Airlines in a putative class action alleging that the major airlines conspired to restrict capacity to maintain higher prices, for Shrimp Improvement Systems against monopoly claims and for Texas-based grocery chain H-E-B in a putative class action alleging disparate pricing for prescription generic drugs.
V&E’s nationally recognized antitrust and competition law practice brings clients more than 50 years of experience handling every aspect of antitrust, including grand jury investigations into cartel conduct, joint ventures, global mergers and acquisitions, civil litigation and antitrust investigations, which have involved monopolization, exclusive dealing, tying, boycotts and unfair trade practices under state and federal laws.
