David Oelman Inducted Into The 2019 Ammys Hall of Fame

Published: 03-08-2019

David Oelman, Vinson & Elkins partner and co-head of the firm’s Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions practice, has been inducted into the 2019 class of Alerian’s Ammy’s Hall of Fame.

Alerian equips investors to make informed decisions about energy infrastructure and Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) with benchmarks used widely by industry executives, investment professionals, research analysts and national media to analyze relative performance. The Ammy Awards recognize excellence in the North American energy infrastructure industry.

As part of the awards, a nomination committee selects five Hall of Fame finalists in each of two categories – Industry and Professional – from stakeholder submissions. Current Hall of Fame members vote for two individuals in each category, and the top two finalists in each category are elected.

"I am humbled, honored, and grateful to be included in a group whose names include Greg Armstrong, Barry Miller and Mike Rosenwasser, all giants in their fields and in my life – without them I would not even have been considered for this recognition," said Oelman.

V&E has extensive experience in the MLP space and a historical understanding of the structural development of MLPs. Oelman has been one of the top domestic initial public offering (IPO) practitioners in the country, and his MLP experience includes a substantial percentage of total completed MLP IPOs as well as subsequent and ongoing work as the industry continues to evolve. Oelman is a member of the Board of Directors of the Master Limited Partnership Association.

The Ammys Hall of Fame recipients will be honored at a dinner in Houston on March 28, 2019.
