Brittany Sakowitz Named a 2019 Rising Star by The Deal
Vinson & Elkins
partner Brittany Sakowitz has been chosen by the The Deal as one of “the
most promising new M&A partners of 2019.”
Profiled in the
publication’s Q1 2019 Dealmaker Quarterly, Sakowitz is recognized for her Houston-based practice focused on private equity, which includes advising SCF Partners in multiple investments in energy services and equipment industry providers. She is also noted for her role on recent multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions transactions, including Sunoco LP’s $3.3 billion sale of convenience stores to 7-Eleven and Energy Transfer Partners’ all-stock buyout by affiliate Energy Transfer Equity LP.
“I have the
opportunity to work with companies through their most transformational life
cycle events—whether investing in a management team, divesting a business unit,
forming a joint venture or merging with another public company,” Sakowitz told The
Deal when asked about her favorite aspect of the job. “It is very exciting
and every day is different.”
Sakowitz was among a class of eight lawyers elevated to partner by V&E effective January 1, 2019. Additional information
