Thursday, October 27, 2016 | San Francisco, CA

The complexities of California evidence often can be the difference between winning and losing at trial. Recent case law and statutory developments in the law of evidence render this mastery critical in modern litigation and trials. V&E partner, Matt Jacobs will be participating in a panel discussion entitled “The End Goal—Crediting and Discrediting Witnesses” at the California Trial Evidence 2016 seminar. During this session you will learn:

  • How to develop a trial theme tied to your evidence
  • It’s your story: How to make the most of your trial witnesses
  • The adverse witness: Effective impeachment and cross examination
  • Winning evidentiary disputes at trial

Matt is a former federal prosecutor in the Northern District of California with more than 20 years of experience, he is well recognized for his experience in internal investigations, government investigations, and white collar matters of all kinds, as well as complex commercial litigation.
