V&E partner Phillip Dye will speak on the panel, “So Your Client Wants to Seize a Vessel (or its Cargo): A Primer on How it’s Done” at the 28th Annual David W. Robertson Admiralty and Maritime Law Conference. The panel offers a "how to" primer on vessel or cargo seizure and how lawyers for the vessel owner may respond. This is the leading annual Texas CLE event that focuses on legal developments in the specialized areas of admiralty and maritime law. Phillip Dye has more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of complex civil litigation. He focuses on litigation and arbitration for both domestic and international companies. This can involve disputes that arise in or with other countries, and that are governed by one or more bodies of law. His deep knowledge of issues related to cross-border suits includes representation of foreign parties, jurisdiction, foreign sovereign immunity, forum non conveniens, conflicts of law, service of process and discovery abroad. Phillip also advises foreign entities on U.S. litigation risks and has disputes experience in maritime commerce.
