July 2, 2012 — Vinson & Elkins partner Marie Yeates has been named one of the Top 250 Women in Litigation by Benchmark Litigation. The guide’s results are the culmination of a six-month research period that allowed researchers to conduct extensive interviews with litigators and their clients across the United States.

Marie serves as co-head of V&E’s Appellate practice group and Managing Partner of the firm’s Houston office. 

In her practice, Marie is consistently recognized as a top-tier appellate lawyer with a reputation for thoroughness, perfectionism, and preparation. Over the past 30 years, Marie has presented more than 100 appellate oral arguments in the Texas Appellate Courts, 5^th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and other federal circuit courts around the country. She has been lead or co-counsel in nearly 200 other cases pending appeal.
