Vinson & Elkins Receives High Honors from Chambers USA for 2011

June 22, 2011 — Vinson & Elkins received honors in 32 practice areas from the 2011 Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business directory, and 92 V&E lawyers were recognized as “leaders in their field” in the prestigious guide.

The Chambers research staff conducts interviews with clients and with peers at other law firms to develop the annual rankings, which honored Vinson & Elkins this year in 16 practices nationally, 13 practices in Texas, and two practice areas in Washington, DC, and the firm’s Corporate practice in New York was named “Highly Regarded” by Chambers.

Of the 32 practice area honors received by V&E, nearly 40 percent were ranked with the highest “top-tier” honor, including nationwide top-tier practices in Energy-Transactional, Energy-Litigation, and Projects; and in Litigation, Corporate, Banking & Finance, Bankruptcy/Restructuring, Energy, Environment, Technology, Real Estate, and Employment, Labor and OSHA (Texas). The rankings are based on “technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client,” according to Chambers.
