V&E Wins "Energy & Natural Resources Team of the Year" at the Legal Business Awards 2010

February 10, 2010 — Vinson & Elkins has won the prestigious title of "Energy & Natural Resources Team of the Year" at the Legal Business Awards 2010, for our work advising Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Company on its recent U.S.$8.8 billion takeover of Addax Petroleum. The annual Legal Business Awards celebrate the very best in the legal profession and are considered one of the most prestigious and highly respected awards in the legal calendar. The winner of this category had to have advised on trailblazing transactions that had significantly impacted the market relating to power, oil and gas, mining, or alternative energy.
The V&E team was led by China Practice partners Paul Deemer and David Blumental, with the assistance of partner François Feuillat on international securities issues.
