Situated at the mouth of the Yangtze River Delta, Shanghai is the economic heart of East China. From this growing port city and international hub, our lawyers represent clients doing business in China, as well as serve multinational Chinese companies going overseas.
Our Shanghai office offers local experience and local knowledge with the same top-flight quality that V&E lawyers are known for around the world. And as a key location in Vinson & Elkins' Asia Pacific practice, Shanghai complements sister offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
The Asia Pacific practice group consists of lawyers and legal staff qualified in the United States, England, Singapore, and the People's Republic of China, who serve multinational clients across a broad range of industries, from energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, production, and sourcing, to retail sales and distribution of consumer goods and other products.
We focus on general corporate advisory matters; foreign direct investment; mergers, acquisitions, structured and syndicated finance, project finance, joint ventures and restructuring; intellectual property protection; and dispute resolution — whether through mediation, arbitration, or litigation.
