The Hong Kong office of Vinson & Elkins opened in 2006, strengthening our ability to assist clients with transactions and matters throughout the Asia Pacific region. The office serves as a regional hub for our Asia Pacific practice.
Our full-service team works on cross-border
transactions and disputes regionally, particularly in mainland China, Korea, India,
and Southeast Asia, as well as globally.
We have significant U.S. and
English law capabilities in our Hong Kong office. Our lawyers focus on
high-profile and complex cross-border matters related to project development,
mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and international dispute resolution. All
of our Hong Kong office lawyers have a particular emphasis on the energy and
natural resource sectors, and play an important role in the firm’s noteworthy
liquefied natural gas (LNG) practice.
Our lawyers advise some of the largest
and most significant deals in the energy sector, and have first-hand experience
on a variety of LNG, upstream, midstream and downstream projects. Our Hong Kong
lawyers pursue various pro bono opportunities and were awarded the 2014 Impact
Award by Trustlaw in recognition for their work.
