Biography
Hessam’s practice focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buy-outs, and joint ventures, including related debt and equity financing, across a broad spectrum of industries. Hessam has extensive experience in representing strategic and financial acquirers of, and investors in, technology, media, and telecommunications enterprises. Hessam’s technology and media practice encompasses advising on service agreements, technology transfers and divestitures, business process and IT outsourcing, licensing of software, patents and proprietary methods, technology joint ventures, strategic alliances, co-marketing, joint development, and transition services agreements. Hessam also advises on Internet terms of use and online contracts, privacy and data security compliance, and best practices. Prior to joining Vinson & Elkins, Hessam was in the corporate practice group in the New York office of a top-tier international law firm.
