Biography
Tara focuses her practice on employment law litigation and counseling. Board-certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, she represents employers in disputes involving allegations including discrimination (including age, sex, race, national origin, and disability), wage and hour violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act, employee benefits and ERISA violations, breach of employment and stock option contracts, and various common law claims. She has handled matters in state and federal trial and appellate courts in multiple jurisdictions, as well as before administrative agencies such as the EEOC.
Additionally, Tara has expertise in the design and implementation of company-wide alternative dispute resolution (arbitration) programs and has substantial experience in enforcing those programs in the courts. She also handles the mediation and arbitration of employment-related claims.
