Biography
Sharon has an extensive background in a wide range of environmental toxic tort litigation at the trial and appellate levels. She has substantial experience with litigation that relates to real estate transactions gone wrong. She has litigated and tried a variety of disputes over remediation and other business damages costs, often involving allegations of fraud in the sale of real property. Another area of litigation experience is with tort claims made by a community alleging damages from the presence of chemicals in the groundwater, soil, or air. She has handled a number of large cases alleging significant property damage. A significant portion of her litigation relates to her experience counseling on administrative regulatory matters in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), wetlands, endangered species, cultural resources, water rights, floodplains, and coastal zone consistency. Her clients are active in the energy, chemical, real estate, and port of navigation industries. She works with public clients on a wide range of infrastructure projects. Sharon enjoys working with clients from initial strategic planning, through the acquisition of permits, and the litigated defense of a project when necessary.
