Biography
Rob is an energy transactional lawyer, with a broad practice that includes cross-border mergers and acquisitions and the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects. He has advised on a wide range of international transactions in the oil and gas, power, petrochemicals and LNG sectors.
In addition to his extensive knowledge about the energy sector, Rob also has substantial experience advising on broader corporate and commercial matters, including M&A transactions, joint ventures, financings, corporate reorganizations, and a wide range of commercial contracts. Rob is an English-qualified solicitor and was Co-Administrative Partner of the Firm's Moscow office from 2006 to 2010.

- Represented Unipec Asia, a subsidiary of Sinopec, in connection with its long-term purchase of LNG from the Australia Pacific LNG project in Queensland, Australia
- Represented a Russian gas producer OAO NOVATEK in connection with the early-stage development of the Yamal LNG project in northern Russia
- Represented Oman Oil Company in connection with its shareholder and other agreements associated with its participation in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) Project

- Represented Electricidade de Portugal in connection with the construction and operation of the gas-fired power station in Portugal

- Represented a Chinese investor in connection with its US$4 billion minority investment in a global E&P business and in the Atlantic LNG project in Trinidad
- Represented the majority shareholders of OAO NOVATEK, Russia's largest independent gas producer, in connection with the sale of a 19.9% equity stake to Gazprom
- Represented Oman Oil Company in connection with its $1.2 billion acquisition of an 8% strategic equity interest in MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas in exchange for a package of upstream and pipeline assets in Russia and Kazakhstan
