Biography
Mike's principal areas of practice are corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He has worked on over 200 public financings and over 100 merger and acquisition transactions. He represents U.S. and non-U.S. companies as well as a number of underwriters. During over 35 years of practice, he has focused on transactions with a relatively high degree of tax structuring. In addition, he has been involved in many aspects of private equity investing. He has participated in developing several unique financing techniques including the development of master limited partnerships. In the project finance area, he has been involved in a number of gas pipeline projects in the United States and a major oil pipeline from Argentina to a port in Chile. With respect to mergers and acquisitions, his focus has been on transactions involving the possibility of tax deferral.
