Biography
Over the last 30 years, Mike has built a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on representing private equity funds. Mike represents private equity funds, privately and publicly-held corporations, and partnerships in connection with stock and asset sales and mergers, including leveraged buy-outs and acquisitions using publicly-traded securities. 

Mike regularly advises and counsels boards of directors, special committees of boards of directors, and executives in connection with sensitive corporate matters and transactions, including takeover defenses, employment matters, acquisition inquiries, fiduciary duties, executive compensation, press releases and other documents, and financings and restructurings. As a result of his work on behalf of clients, Mike has been recognized by Chambers Global as a top lawyer in corporate/mergers and acquisitions in each of the last nine years, and by The Best Lawyers in America® as a leader in corporate law the last nine years.

Mike is Managing Partner of the Dallas, Texas office and V&E's Chief Operating Partner. Mike also has been a member of the Management Committee of the firm. A leader in his community as well, Mike currently serves on the board of directors of the Dallas Theater Center and as a member of the Dallas Citizens Council.
