Biography
Mark's practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions and private equity. He represents public and private companies in mergers and stock and asset acquisitions. Mark also has substantial experience representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies as well as fund investors. Mark also advises business organizations and boards of directors on matters such as corporate governance, fiduciary obligations, and executive compensation and retention.
As a result of his notable experience, Mark has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® as a leader in corporate law (2006 - 2011) and mergers and acquisitions law (2007 - 2011); and in Texas Monthly as a Super Lawyer in mergers and acquisitions (2006 - 2010).

- Represented Brazos Private Equity Partners, LLC and several of its portfolio companies in a variety of acquisition and disposition transactions
- Represented Olympus Real Estate Partners in the sale of its multi-family residential portfolio for approximately $1.0 billion
- Represented Newstone Capital Partners in multiple financing transactions
Public Company Mergers and Acquisitions
- Represented Capstar Broadcasting Corporation in a series of transactions, including its acquisition by another public media company
- Represented Dal-Tile International, Inc. in its merger into Mohawk Industries, Inc.
- Represented ProNet, Inc. in a series of stock and asset acquisitions and equity offerings and its acquisition by another public wireless communications company
Real Estate Investment Trusts
- Represented Olympus Real Estate Partners in the acquisition of Walden Residential Properties, Inc., a public multi-family real estate investment trust
- Represented Meridian Industrial Trust, Inc., a public real estate investment trust, in a variety of transactions including acquisitions, public and private offerings of debt and equity and its merger into Prologis Trust
