Biography
Marcia has a deep energy transactional law practice, representing foreign and domestic industry and private equity firms in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and other corporate legal transactions and project development. Marcia’s energy transactional experience includes representing buyers and sellers of shale joint ventures, oil and gas properties, power generation facilities, energy trading businesses, natural gas pipelines and crude oil pipelines, refineries, processing and other midstream assets and oil field service companies.

Cited as a leading lawyer in her fields of law by numerous legal and trade publications, Marcia is listed as one of Chambers USA’s America’s Leading Business Lawyers in 2005-2010; among The Best Lawyers in America® since 2003 in corporate, energy, oil and gas, and project finance law; and as an energy law expert in Euromoney's Expert Guide to the World's Leading Energy and Natural Resource Lawyers.

Marcia has served in numerous leadership positions at V&E, including on the Management Committee and chair of the Partnership Admission Committee, and is currently V&E's Energy Transactions/Projects Practice Group Leader.

  • Counsel to Oxy in its acquisition of Citi’s energy trading business, Phibro LLC, from Citigroup, Inc., and to Oxy in its post-closing LLC with Phibro management to continue the trading business
