Biography
Madeline’s practice is currently focused on intellectual property litigation, including patent litigation, opinions, and diligence, as well as litigation in the areas of false advertising and copyright. Madeline has represented global, midsize, and start-up companies and has a wide range of experience in all areas of patent practice, including counseling, opinions, and litigation for both branded and generic companies, due diligence for strategic licenses, acquisitions, public offerings, patent prosecution, false advertising actions in federal court and in front of the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau, and copyright litigations and advice relating to software, photographs, sculpture, and architecture.
Madeline holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and carried out research for several years in the area of RNA in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Dr. Sidney Altman. Madeline's research contributed to the work for which Dr. Altman received the Nobel Prize.
