Biography
Lewis' principal areas of practice are the development and financing of international projects (with a particular focus on the energy sector), together with other finance transactions. He has represented sponsors, governments, lenders and private equity investors. Lewis has advised on power, pipeline, LNG and upstream projects in the energy sector. He has gained particular expertise in the development and financing of renewable and alternative energy projects. In addition, Lewis has advised clients on projects in other infrastructure sectors including road, aviation, satellites and process industries (including aluminum and steel production). Lewis also has extensive experience advising clients on acquisition financing and other forms of structured finance including Islamic finance.

In addition to his expertise in relation to major energy and infrastructure projects and finance, Lewis has substantial experience advising on broader corporate and commercial matters. His experience includes representing clients in relation to major share and asset acquisitions and disposals, corporate reorganizations, shareholders agreements, and a wide range of commercial contracts. Lewis moved from the London office to the Abu Dhabi office in 2007, and currently serves as the Managing Partner of the UAE offices.
