Biography
An accomplished lawyer with 20+ years of experience, Judy has been engaged in a broad-based income tax practice in which she has advised clients with respect to tax planning and various types of M&A and financing transactions. Her principal areas of practice are business transactions and domestic and international tax planning. She has represented both public and privately-held companies, including private equity funds, in a number of significant business transactions, corporate spin-offs and other divestitures, and purchases and sales of assets and entities, and has served as tax counsel to numerous issuers and underwriters on debt and equity offerings.

  • Served as tax counsel for a publicly traded foreign corporation on its $2 billion acquisition of Gulf of Mexico properties
  • Served as tax counsel for an exploration and production company on its $4 billion acquisition of Dominion Resources, Inc's natural gas exploration and production and related midstream assets
  • Served as tax counsel on approximately $2 billion of divestitures of power generating assets in the United States
