Biography
Jim’s practice focuses primarily on private equity, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He has more than fifteen years legal and financial experience working with senior management and boards of directors on corporate transactions and governance matters across a broad range of industries, including energy, software/technology, consumer products, restaurants and beverages, healthcare and financial services. Jim has represented both public and private companies in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and strategic investments; represented issuers and underwriters in public and private debt and equity offerings; and counseled clients on securities law matters, corporate governance and other general corporate matters. In addition to his law firm experience in Dubai, New York and Houston, Jim served three years as in-house counsel for a NYSE-listed company based in New York that controlled a diversified portfolio of operating companies. He has also held senior legal and financial positions with venture-backed private companies.
