Biography
Holly’s principal area of practice is complex commercial litigation with a focus on energy resources, oil and gas, products liability, and construction law related matters. She has a broad base of multi-party litigation experience with corporations, public/governmental entities, and non-profit organizations involving breach of contract, breach of warranty, tort claims, products liability, indemnity, and other legal issues. She has written a variety of pleadings and pre- and post-trial motions in both state and federal court, argued various motions in state court, drafted appellate briefs, and made oral arguments before the Texas Court of Appeals.

  • Assisted in representation of international chemical production company against large potential purchaser for intentional breach of merger agreement terms, fraud, and tortious interference of a business relationship; obtained favorable bench-trial judgment requiring specific performance of the terms of the merger agreement or substantial break-up fees
  • Successfully defended appeal for pro bono client in breach of service agreement matter that involved both briefing and oral arguments before the First Court of Appeals
  • Assisted in representation of governmental owner against large general contractor asserting breach of contract claims, including interference with contractor means and methods, owner caused delays, and wrongful withholding of liquidated damages
