Biography
Amanda’s principal area of practice focuses on export controls and government contracts. Since joining the firm in 2004, Amanda has participated in export controls investigations, prepared voluntary disclosures of export controls violations, assisted in internal audits of compliance with export controls, prepared export license applications, filed bid protests challenging the conduct of various agencies, mediated challenges to contract awards, prepared and litigated claims before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA) and the Court of Federal Claims, and advised clients on other export controls and government contracts issues. Prior to entering legal practice, Amanda was a legislative assistant to Congressman John Edward Porter, whom she advised on defense spending, military construction, and other defense related issues.

- Prepare bid protests for clients challenging award decisions and the agency’s proposal evaluation
- Litigated disruption and delay claim before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims
- Assist with sale and novation of government contracts
Export Controls View All
- Assisted major defense contractor with Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) approved audit of export compliance
- Assisted U.S. company in the aircraft industry with DDTC approved audits for export compliance, developed policies and procedures to promote export compliance at the company, provided export compliance training to company employees
- Perform internal investigations of export violations and prepare voluntary disclosures to DDTC, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
