Jay is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Beijing and Hong Kong offices, and a member of the worldwide Energy Transactions and Projects Practice. He has advised clients on major energy mergers and acquisitions, project development, and finance transactions across Asia, Europe, South America, the Middle East, and the United States. Jay also has significant experience in the development of LNG projects.

  • Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation as international counsel in connection with the estimated C$2.9 billion acquisition of Daylight Energy Ltd., a Canadian oil and gas company traded publicly on the Toronto Stock Exchange with assets in Canada
  • Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation in connection with its acquisition from Galp Energia SGPS, S.A. (Galp), through new share subscriptions, of 30% of its upstream interests in Brazil
