Craig Margolis Named to Law360’s 2017 MVP List
& Elkins partner Craig Margolis has been named one of Law360’s
2017 MVPs of the Year, for his successful representation of two major U.S.
defense contractors accused of defrauding the federal government.

V&E’s Government Investigation and White Collar Criminal Defense practice,
was commended for his recent defenses of KBR, Inc. and BAE Systems Tactical Vehicle Systems, LP against False Claims Act litigation.
In March 2017, Margolis led the V&E
team that secured dismissal of a qui tam suit filed by a former KBR
subcontract administrator, Harry Barko, who alleged that KBR passed on to the federal government
fraudulently-incurred charges as a result of kickbacks a subcontract
administrator allegedly accepted relating to Iraq War contracts.
